We go into the
hard places.
Every single time.
Where others cannot go — or will not go — GDP shows up. That’s not a mission statement. That’s 35 years of proof. And it’s only possible because of donors like you.
Every week
Our teams walk into the most isolated villages, shanties, and conflict zones across East Africa — carrying food, medicine, and love.
Every month
590+ children wake up with meals, clean water, and people who choose them — because your recurring support never stops.
Every year
For 35 consecutive years, GDP has never stepped back from East Africa. Drought, conflict, pandemic — we stayed. We always stay.

I’ve been doing this for 35 years. I’ve walked through the Mathare slums at dawn. I’ve sat with mothers in Sudan who had nothing. I’ve held children who had never heard the words “you matter.” And every single time — every single one — I think of the people back home who made it possible for me to be there.
“Because of you, we can go into the places most people don’t even know exist.”
That’s what I want you to understand today. Your gift isn’t just a number on a receipt. It’s a road into a village that has no road. It’s a borehole in a community that walked three hours for water. It’s a little girl in Nyahururu who goes to sleep in a safe bed tonight instead of the street. It’s a woman in Samburu County who stands up at a summit and realizes — for the first time — that her voice counts.
The Kenya Government recognized GDP with a formal award not because we ran a slick campaign. They recognized us because we showed up. Week after week, year after year, in places that don’t make the news — because of donors who never stopped believing.
That donor is you. And I am personally, deeply, genuinely grateful. Kenya is grateful. These children are grateful — even the ones who don’t have the words for it yet.
Thank you for trusting us with your generosity. We will never stop earning it.
Reaching the unreachable — together.
The Mathare Slums, Nairobi
One of the most densely populated and underserved urban communities on the continent. GDP has been here, week in and week out, for decades — bringing food, care, and presence when presence is everything.
Bamba & Kilifi — Rural Coastal Kenya
Isolated communities hours from the nearest city. GDP drills boreholes, brings education, and refuses to let geography determine a child’s worth.
Samburu County — Northern Kenya
A region with some of the highest rates of gender-based violence in East Africa. GDP is on the ground with Edith Jebet and local partners — building safety, dignity, and hope for women and girls.
Nyahururu — St. Rita Evergreen Girls School
East Africa’s first trauma-informed residential school for girls. 40 girls safe tonight. 2,000+ on the waiting list. GDP built this — because someone like you gave.
Sudan & DRC — Beyond Borders
Where 80% of children face malnutrition and conflict has shattered entire generations. GDP’s outreach crosses borders to reach children that geography and politics have abandoned.
