Our commitment

These children are no longer orphans. They have a home.
GDP has always been committed to supporting children who cannot care for themselves. Through our Good Samaritan Project and A Lift Up Project, we partner with children’s homes across East Africa to provide vital support — because thanks to you and many others, these children have a safe place they can call home, with caring individuals who genuinely prioritize their well-being and future.
The challenges these children face
80%
In South Sudan, over 80% of children face malnutrition — thousands displaced by conflict, with many experiencing violence, loss of family, and no access to basic services.
Children arrive at GDP’s partner homes weekly — brought by relatives, friends, government officials, police, or social workers. The need continues to grow rapidly.
0
Before GDP’s support, many of these children had no consistent access to food, clean water, education, or a stable, loving home environment.

Daily care

Food, nutrition, and daily care — every child, every day
Despite the overwhelming challenges, the love and dedication of caregivers at GDP’s partner homes inspire everything we do. Every child receives the basic necessities they deserve — food, clothing, shelter, and medical support.
Food & Feeding Programs
Saving lives through consistent, nourishing care
GDP partners directly with two registered children’s homes in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as outreach programs in Bamba, Kilifi, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The homes serve children from 12 months to 18 years old — and in special cases, newborns.
Most of these children are complete or partial orphans, brought to the children’s center by relatives, friends, government officials, police, or social workers. The need for care continues to grow, with nearly weekly arrivals. GDP ensures every child has food, clean water, clothing, shelter, and medical support — consistently, every single day.

Education

Learning initiatives — equipping children for a brighter future
GDP plays a crucial role in supplying educational resources and funding to develop comprehensive learning systems at its partner children’s homes — because education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and circumstance.
Learning & Education Programs
Enhancing education in challenging environments
Each year, GDP organizes multiple teams to visit the children’s homes — engaging in activities such as painting, repairs, and meaningful interactions, connecting with the children and making a positive impact. GDP also donates new computers and laptops annually to schools, and funds internet connectivity to ensure consistent access to online learning.
Recently, GDP upgraded classrooms and provided teachers with all-new computers, with plans to continually add modern equipment. Through the scholarship program, talented young adults are enabled to continue their studies at trade schools, colleges, and universities — a dream they never thought possible.
