Your gift can carry
your name into
East Africa forever.

A major gift to GDP Kenya doesn’t just fund a program. It names a classroom, builds a water well, rescues a girl from Samburu, or launches a generation. We want to tell that story — with your name on it.

Why major giving matters

Most organizations grow.
We go deeper.

GDP Kenya has operated continuously in East Africa since 1991 — through drought, political change, pandemic, and transformation. We don’t chase trends. We build infrastructure: schools, wells, women’s centers, rescue pipelines.
Every major gift we have ever received has been used with exactly the purpose the donor intended. That is not a marketing claim — it is the reason we hold a Candid Platinum Seal. You can read our financials. You can call us. And you can come to Kenya and see it yourself.

“When that van door opened and we saw their faces — some clutching the few things they owned, some so young, holding babies — I think the whole team just held their breath for a moment. You reach out your arms. And you say: you are safe now. You are home.”
— GDP field team · Samburu County, 2026
The Samburu Project — GDP’s newest frontier initiative enters one of Kenya’s most isolated counties (50% teen pregnancy rate · 76% illiteracy rate) with quarterly field missions, rescue pipelines, and a community health training program. This is where a major gift goes furthest.

From Michael & Patricia Wright

Co-founders · Global Development Project Kenya · Est. 1991

We have been doing this work for thirty-five years. We have stood in villages with no road, no water, and no school. We have held infants whose mothers arrived at our door with nothing. We have watched girls who were told they had no future graduate, teach, lead, and change their communities.
None of it happened by accident. Every single thing we have built — every classroom, every well, every rescue — was made possible by a person who decided to give more than they had to. Who believed that what happens in East Africa matters to them personally, even from across an ocean.
If you are reading this page, you are that kind of person. We don’t take that lightly.
We want to talk with you — not a form letter, not an automated sequence. Us. Because the gift you’re considering deserves a real conversation, and because we want you to know exactly what it will do, exactly where it will go, and exactly whose life it will change.
Please fill out the form below, and one of us will be in touch within 24 hours.
