Help Us To Raise Funds

Dear Friends,

We’re the Global Development Project Kenya. We’re a registered non-profit charity organization that focuses on the welfare of homeless and orphaned children in some of the hardest, most difficult places in Nairobi, Kenya.

One hundred-twenty. That is the number of children being served, loved, and cared for by Mama Mercy Thuo and her dedicated staff within the walls of the Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Mathare, one of the poorest, most vulnerable areas in Nairobi. The number of lives being impacted daily by consistent access to food, healthcare, mental/social/emotional support, and education. And as of today, the number of futures being jeopardized because city inspectors have threatened to close the doors of the home if repairs to the play area and the children’s dormitory, which are currently underway, are not expedited and completed by 12/31/2023. The children of Good Samaritan have found a safe haven in the home where they experience the beauty of love and family again. We need your support to ensure they do not lose the place they call home where they have grown roots and found a sense of belonging.

And that is where you can help. Your donation towards our goal of $8000 will help complete the necessary repairs to keep the doors of Good Samaritan open for the children who call it home.

This money will be used in several key areas:

1. To help complete three new girl’s dormitories to house 30 girls.
2. To upgrade the electrical infrastructure for the existing dorms, the kitchen, the staff living spaces, and the educational department.
3. To triple the size of the kids’ play area.
4. To complete crucial structural upgrades and repairs.

Can these sweet children count on you to help save their home? With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of some of those who need it the most!

Please, you can help us greatly by donating, posting and sharing this story! Thank you!!
