Ingredients
⅔ cup unsalted butter, melted (11 tbsp)
2¼ cups packed light or medium brown sugar
3 eggs (make sure they’re at room temperature)
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts, (preferably roast or toasted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9×13 pan. Set aside. In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, and add vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Pour into prepared baking dish you’ve set aside, and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until tester comes out clean (a toothpick will work just fine). If edges are browning more quickly than the middle, cover with aluminum foil. When cool, cut into 24 squares.
