"This is the first place where I felt my child and I were both wanted."
She arrived with her infant, fleeing gender-based violence, in Nyahururu — a town whose name means "storm" in Maasai. Within these walls, GDP and St. Rita Evergreen Girls School are building something rare: a refuge where girls as young as 12 can reclaim their childhoods. Over 2,000 remain on the waiting list.
